 Summer lets

  1. The chalet hosts will prepare the chalet for your arrival (not before 14.00 on the Saturday). Beds will be made up and a meal will be prepared for you. Please contact the hosts to let them know when you will arrive.
  2. The chalet hosts will maintain the chalet during the summer. Only they will be responsible for the Hot Tub. Guests must not add any chemicals to the water.
  3. Breakfast and Dinner will be prepared by the hosts on 6 days of the week. They have one full day off each week, and this day is to be decided between you and the hosts. If you feel you would like to eat out more often in the evenings, but would like a lunch prepared instead, this can be arranged.
  4. You are responsible for the cost of your own food plus that of the hosts. Please discuss dietary requirements with the chalet hosts as soon as you arrive. They will be happy to buy the food you require, so it is suggested you put in a sum of money to cover the cost of these purchases. A ‘kitty’ is the normal way. If the hosts are buying the food (they won’t mind if you want to go shopping too), please make sure that there is enough money in the kitty to cover the purchases including sufficient food for the hosts. It is better to have too much money in the kitty than not enough, as you can have what is left back at the end of the week. As a guideline, a suggested amount for the week is 80 Euros per person. This will obviously vary with different groups.
  5. Bed linen will be changed once a week and sent to the laundry. Towels will be changed twice a week (more if you need) and will be washed at the chalet. You may use the washing machine and tumble drier (or hang clothes out on washing line) whenever you like for your own personal needs.
  6. Rooms will be cleaned once during the week and once over the weekend (or changeover day). The hosts will not move your personal belongings about, so if the floor is covered with clothes etc (quite normal in rooms used by teenagers), the room will not be cleaned quite as well.
  7. If you have extra guests arriving during your stay, for meals or who may stay in the chalet with you, please keep the hosts informed with adequate notice.
  8. If you would like picnics prepared for trips out, please let the hosts know the day before so that they have the right sort of food in the chalet.
  9. On departure day, a picnic can be prepared for your journey. Please make sure you leave the chalet by 10.00 as it will have to be prepared for the next arrivals.
  10. Tipping – if you feel that you have been well looked after during your stay, please show your appreciation to the hosts. If you have guests who stay in the chalet for a few days, it would be nice if they could show their appreciation, by way of a tip, too.
